ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Caitlin Hogan was born with grit in her heart and a hockey stick in her hand—right in snowy St. Paul, Minnesota. By age two, she had laced up her skates and hit the ice... and never looked back.

She went on to shine as a Division I athlete at St. Cloud State University, where she carved her name into the record books as the school’s all-time points leader.

But Caitlin wasn’t done chasing greatness. After hanging up her skates, she picked up a barbell and soared into the world of Olympic weightlifting—becoming a 5x National Champion, American Record Holder, 4x Pan-American Silver Medalist, and 3x World Championship team member for Team USA.

After opening and operating a fitness facility for 10 years in Long Beach, CA, the call of the ice was too loud to ignore and Caitlin sought out a career giving back to the game that gave her so much as a child.

Today, Caitlin brings her passion full circle as the head coach of the University of Arizona Women’s Hockey Team in sunny Tucson, where she lives with her two mischievous pugs, two curious cats, and a heart full of purpose.

THE BIRTH OF THE BOOKS

Caitlin Hogan has always had a soft spot for storytelling and a strong appreciation for play. Long before she was lifting national titles or coaching hockey in the desert, Caitlin spent her early career working in marketing for a toy company in Southern California—where creativity, color, and childlike wonder were part of the job description. Writing had always been one of her favorite ways to connect with the world.

Years later, as a gym owner and coach deeply rooted in the world of fitness, Caitlin found herself surrounded by a different kind of inspiration: Mothers. These were strong, dedicated women who trained before, during, and after their pregnancies. Many became friends, and when baby showers rolled around, Caitlin wanted to gift something meaningful—something that reflected their love for movement and health.

She searched high and low for children’s books that introduced fitness in a fun and approachable way… but they just didn’t exist. So, in true coach fashion, Caitlin decided to create her own.

That’s how Little Lifters was born.

This series is lovingly dedicated to all the Little Lifters out there: keep moving, keep dreaming, and keep believing in your strength!

THE SERIES

The A-B-Cs

A playful twist on the traditional alphabet book, this first installment is designed not only to teach your Little Lifter their letters—but to sneak in a little education for the grown-ups reading along, too. Every page introduces a letter through the lens of strength and movement, sparking curiosity and confidence from A to Z.

Anatomy

We all learn “head, shoulders, knees, and toes” as toddlers, but real anatomy usually doesn’t show up until high school. Learn Anatomy bridges that gap with whimsical animal friends and simple, accurate explanations of what our muscles are called—and what they help us do. It’s biology made bite-sized and joyful.

Confidence

The third book in the series takes a turn inward, focusing on the power of positive affirmations. Caitlin wrote this edition to help parents speak strength into their children—out loud and often. Because when a child hears “I am strong,” “I am brave,” and “I am enough,” they start to believe it. And believing it is the first step to becoming it.

Movement

Get ready to jump, crawl, climb, and roll—because Learn Movement is here to get bodies in motion! This book invites your Little Lifter to build confidence, body awareness, and a lifelong love of movement—one joyful wiggle at a time. Because when we teach kids how to move, we’re teaching them how to thrive.
